Dynamic Playback Streaming Technology

Dynamic Playback Streaming Technology (DPST) is Nquist proprietary system for delivering adaptive, dynamic sound in real time. Unlike conventional streaming, DPST transforms each playback into a unique experience, responding to artist-defined parameters, user interaction, and contextual triggers. Whether isolating stems, shifting energy levels, or unveiling alternate versions mid-stream, DPST breaks the mold of one-size-fits-all playback. It’s the evolution of streaming: not just music you play, but music that plays with you. (Status: Alpha)

Record Store Cafe

The Nquist Record Store Café is where analog culture meets digital innovation. More than just a place to browse vinyl like in the past, it will be a fully integrated micro-manufacturing hub where music fans can stream any track, order a physical copy on demand, and experience music in a whole new way. Each location will offer curated listening stations, exclusive artist drops, and product demos, from headphones to home audio gear, all without carrying inventory. It’s not just about nostalgia; it’s about giving music weight again. Fans will be able to come in for a record, stay for the experience, and walk out with music you can hold.  (Status: Systems Workflow R&D)

Digital Audio Assets Protocol (DAAP)

The Digital Audio Assets Protocol is the foundation of Nquist Digital Delivery Triad, a new standard for how music is stored, shared, and experienced. DAAP wraps audio content with metadata, ownership credentials, plugin parameters, and encrypted session data, turning each file into a fully integrated, rights-aware digital asset. It powers The Asset (the artist’s creation), The XChange (the distribution layer), and The Player (the DAW-compatible playback environment). This protocol doesn’t just preserve music, it protects it, monetizes it, and gives it new life across both digital and physical formats. With DAAP, music becomes more than a stream, it becomes a secure, adaptive, and sellable product. (Status: Beta)

BETA TOOLS & WORKFLOWS

The Digital Audio Assets Protocol (DAAP) establishes a structured framework for defining and packaging digital music assets, preserving attribution, provenance, and production context as recordings move from the studio into distribution. We have researched opportunities for Record Store Cafés that provide on-demand music manufacturing, and are developing the infrastructure that enables Dynamic Playback Streaming Technology (DPST), expanding how listeners experience and engage with recorded music.
